Prayer: Zhanara's Warming Fire (Feat)

     The Mojo Rules! roleplay rules system defines characters by their abilities and unique features, which we call feats. Prayer: Zhanara's Warming Fire is a feat for characters who've been born or spent time in the Untamed Empires realm of Suzerain.

Prayer: Zhanara's Warming Fire

Description:

     Zhanara is the Avatar of hearth and home - this prayer emphasizes the 'hearth' part.

     Time To Recite: 30 seconds.

     Cost To Recite: 2 Pulse.

     Range: Touch.

     Duration: 30 minutes.

     Fallow Time: 2 hours.

     Effect: While reciting the prayer, the character touches the floor with his outstretched palms. A fire springs out of nothing, which requires no fuel and warms people within [5+2] m so that they suffer no ill effects from cold or exposure, and they even get a [1+1/3] bonus to resist supernatural cold. The fire doesn't burn the surface it's on and doesn't warm anyone who feels warm already, but is otherwise the equivalent of a small campfire. The character is seen in a warm light by anyone within the fire's area of effect, and gets a [1+1/3] modifier to all charm-based social checks that target those people.

     An extra Doubling is possible with this prayer, making the fire invisible to anyone except the character himself. This means it can be used to give social bonuses even where it would look odd to start a fire. Also, because the flames are still hot (even though they won't burn the surface they're on) there's the potential to turn the fire into a trap for the unwary. Although that goes against the Zhanara's original intent, the Avatar leaves it up to the conscience of the character how he uses this power... as long as it's in Trinity's service.
